It started all when Mambu Quoi took the oppertunity as a war effected youth to participate in the skill training program of Don Bosco in the early 90. Learning their the basic skills of construction; masonry carpentry and plumbing. Followed by specific training in Water and Sanitation by an UNICEF Supervisor.
His desire to rebuild Liberia by training ex - child soldiers and youth with war trauma in WASH and masonry became through the years a reality.

Now more than 25 years later the time was ripe for him to bundle all his expertise in the company Mambu Inc. We are experts in WASH, producers of a wide range of high quality concrete products and manufacturers of the Rope pump.

Drinking water is one of the basic necessity of life. Mambu inc have both the technical expertise and years of experience to provide safe drinking water all over Liberia. Not only we are digging new wells by hand or manual drilling but also rehabilitating existing wells including maintenance of all kind of pumps for both the domestic sector as the commercial sector. We know the importance of setting up cash box systems for communities, a requirement by the MOPW for WASH NGO’s; it is one of the many WASH trainings we also offer to our customers. Over the years we worked already successfully in 9 of the 15 counties in Liberia.

It’s not just the professional selection of our moulds and machines that make our concrete products, it’s our workers too. Majority of our employees has made already thousands of our concrete products but still by each created item they continuously checking and applying the quality standards that counts for all our concrete products. Quality, Innovation and Sustainability; core values important by Mambu Inc We are proud that after a so called 5-year pilot project in 2018 the Ministry of Public work in Liberia describe our rope pump in the WASH sector performance report 2018 and recommend that the innovative Manneka rope pump should be used more widely in Liberia in the immediate future. “To reduce the number of poorly function water points due to non – functionality of hand pumps” we started in 2013 making the rope pump an innovation for Liberia. The made in Liberia sustainable pump is more durable, easier to repair, and constructed with local materials of which over 25% is recyclable and since only PVC used, no rust forms after chlorination. A major advance of the rope pump is the increase water discharge of nearly 35 litters per minute for a 30 feet deep well, while the energy used to rotate the wheel is less than what is needed to operate a traditional pump lever.”
